PKM-TST Corrosion Monitoring Subsystems

PKM-TST subsystems are hardware and software systems for corrosion monitoring of underground steel pipelines.

The subsystems allow to control the corrosion rate with a set frequency and all the electrical parameters of corrosion environment, where a certain pipeline section is situated: AC and DC voltages on a pipeline and AC/DC currents of an auxiliary electrode, polarization potential, AC/ DC density, current inside of a pipeline (insulation quality control), resistance to alternating current spreading.


Test stations (PKM-TST-KIP)

PKM-TST-KIP is a corrosion monitoring subsystem, used to ensure remote monitoring of electrochemical protection parameters at the test stations and to define pipeline route.





Joint protection block (rheostat) JPB (R)

The utilizing of power resistors allows to make smooth adjustment of channels resistance, not using electrical connectors, without disconnecting the cathodic protection station.

Pipeline Protection Device against induced AC

A pipeline protection device against induced AC is used to reduce a high-voltage power line impact.

A reference electrode is an electrode with a stable and reproducible potential, which can be used for other electrode potentials measurement. Stationary reference electrodes are used to monitor and control the level of cathodic protection.

Marker plates

A marker plate is placed directly on a pipeline and is intended for spatial reference of the pipeline pig inspection results.
