Test stations, produced according to TS 3435-002-93719333-2009

A test station consists of a rack and a terminal block, fixed on it. Additionally completed with a 1km distance mark, which allows to control a pipeline route visually from the air.

A rack may be made of PVC or metal. The applied materials are used outdoors in all the climatic zones. The rack is equipped with an anchor device, which prevents a test station from free taking out.

A terminal block is made of polycarbonate and meant for setting up about 18 terminal clamps. The terminal clamps are made of stainless steel or yellow metal. To exclude an illegal access, the terminal block has a cap with a locking arrangement.

Marking and warning (informational) inscriptions are made on a self-stick film by thermal transfer printing method. To increase the resistance of marking signs and labels to UV radiation, an outside lamination with a special protective film is applied. The resistance period is at least 15 years.

The construction advantages:

  • increased resistance to climatic factors of the environment;
  • modern and aesthetic appearance;
  • free access to the contact clamps of a terminal block;
  • easy cables and accessories (reference electrodes , corrosion rate indicators , etc.) installation;
  • equipment installation inside the rack (a joint protection block, controllers , etc.);
  • additional maintenance to preserve the appearance is not required;
  • low weight (for test stations with PVC racks).

The use of power resistors allows smooth adjustment of channels resistance, not using electrical connectors, without disconnecting the cathodic protection station.

A built-in instrument shunt allows to determine the channel current rate using a millivoltmeter.

JPB (R) protection against lightning overvoltage is provided by static protection device (varistor).
